Some of our shedders have been putting in the hours over recent meetings working on the refurbishment or upcycling of items of furniture received under our arrangement with the Salvation Army.
After repair if needed, and a lot of sanding, filling, priming and painting or varnishing, the items will be returned for re-sale through the Salvation Army shop in Auchmill Road – and the Shed will get half of the sale proceeds. Depending on the return we will then see how it compares to the outlay on consumable materials required to do the work. Luckily of course, we do not charge for time! Some comparison pictures below.

One of our members has also been working on a personal project refurbishing his grandson’s mud kitchen … we’re all now keenly waiting to be invited for a fine muddy meal!

Garden tools available
Our ever expanding collection of gardening tools will soon be available for return to use. Repaired if needed, cleaned, tested – and PAT tested as appropriate – we have mowers, strimmers large and small, leaf blowers, pressure washer and a chainsaw.
These may be offered up on our website soon and on appropriate social media pages, but if your piece of vital gardening kit has just given up the ghost, don’t go spending a lot of money on a new one, come to the Shed and see what’s available for a donation to our funds.
