Our Shed received a welcome boost last week thanks to the generosity of long established local engineering and fabrication company H&F Moir Engineering. The business had already kindly donated funds but added a range of branded Hi‑Vis vests, bearing both the Shed’s name and the company’s logo, to support ongoing projects and ensure Shed members can work safely while carrying out litter picking or other outdoor activities.

On Monday 23 February, five Shed members visited the company’s premises at Birchwood to collect the vests in person and pass on their thanks. The team were given a warm welcome and enjoyed the chance to meet some of the senior staff behind the donation.
The Hi‑Vis vests will be put to immediate use across a range of Shed activities, from outdoor maintenance to community projects, helping keep members visible and protected. The financial contribution also further strengthened the Shed’s ability to provide tools, materials, and a supportive space for local men to connect and create.
Everyone at Blackburn and Kinellar Men’s Shed is extremely grateful for the company’s support and commitment to the local community. Partnerships like this will help the Shed continue to grow and make a positive difference for its members and the wider area.
